The Old Folks Home

Utah has their fair share of Mustang here. They are usually pretty small, but there are some larger ones out there too.

Rose was 14.1 hands. My first horse (when I was 14) was a 16.1 hands TN Walking Horse. By comparison Rose moved with as much power, we were just lower to the ground. She was the biggest little horse I have ever ridden.

PS cow prints are definitely still "in" for Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-a, they hold it once every July at their restaurants. If you wear one cow item you get a free entrée. If you wear a top to bottom cow-y look you get a free Meal. I've been assembling my outfit for next July (10th) - cow-y shirt, visor, cow bell, looking for more new stuff to refine my costume from this past July. I was just a cow novice then but, I expect to do better this next July.

White cats too, especially if they have one blue eye and one green eye. I also knew a black family when I was in the military who had a daughter with a blue eye and a green eye who was deaf. Deafness is something you have to watch for in Dalmation dogs too. Again a link to white coats and spotting.

There has been found a link between animals and people with dichromic eyes (where the eye has multiple color) and intestinal problems. People with dichromic eyes are more likely to develop Crohne's disease.

White Bulldogs are prone to deafness. It is hard for the University of Georgia to find a mascot that is not deaf.
