you didn't just go there did ya??? to a guy, that has a completely different meaning...
sheesh,

The missus and I are 2 time losers and am very happy just to be together, not married. No pressure, no piece of paper that changes everything, no ball or chain. We are friends first, lovers of each others cooking, share in alot of things, yet still have other interests on our own, but...again, we are old enough to let things go that mean nothing and most the time, we still learn so much from each other. She gets her girl time with her friends and doesn't have to worry about me flying off the handle and she gives me space when I need it. It's a bummer it took us both so long to find a partner in life.... Love is grand but a friend or partner to share life with is awesome..... Love happens over time, lust is there for the moment....

and yes, she is a woman!!! I thought I had better make that clear... laughs

The only bummer is she is as poor as I am, but says, if I can find that rich woman on her death bed, she will wait for me. I just make it fast.

Ok, sorry I opened a can of worms but then no one has flip out so all is good...

again, you did not just go there.

linda-- I always knew there was a good reason I liked you!---animals first.

Fortunately for me DH likes cats on the bed, and tolerated my dogs for many years. Until it went from two to four-- that was a crowd!!

As for my marriage, we have had our ups and downs; when times were not harmonious we didn't divorce, I just yell a lot. We basically like each other.

hey bamma,
Congrats, good luck and have fun. Some find the right mate on the first try. Met my old man at 17, started dating at 19, moved him in at 20,7 year engagement, and happily married still. Even though we polar opposites we have outlasted all our friends.Just remember to pick your battles and don't sweat the small stuff.

Anouncement anouncement anooouuuncement . . . .

My black coopers marans are laying!! Collected two eggs today, and now hoping for a smoother laying season this year.

I sold most of my hens-- endless requests for pullets, that I only ended up with two new pullets in 2012. Well NOT this year. I'm hatching for me first. Just love the colored eggs.

I second this!!! We forget that marriage is a legal commitment in all the love-dovey special wedding day excitement. Take from someone who has been married too long to consider a divorce this late in life. :)

UH OH....shouldn't have said that Arielle!! I thought that at one time also. Found myself in the middle of a divorce after 27 years....his choice and I still don't know why...sometimes I think men are from a galaxy far, far away....

And by the way....I got nothing out of the divorce....no prenup.....and don't think it can't happen to you. Based on the averages in this country it probably will happen to the majority. The ones that make it last are very special or very stubborn people. LOL

"Special" is a word I've heard a few times lately.

I've heard "stubborn," too, though I prefer "patient."

Hubby and I met at 17, started dating at 18, married at 22. This year we'll be celebrating our 30th anniversary. Has it been smooth sailing? Heck, NO! But we liked each other even when we didn't feel very lovey toward each other, and I can safely say we are better together now than we have ever been.

Bunny, living with my wife is almost like living in an old folks home...

Nine minutes left in the superbowl, and my wife begins yelling for me
to take my blue vitamin and turn of the lights. Bed time.

And I'm not even sleeply

No, I'm not braggin on my wife. Wouldn't want her to get a big head...

But I'll agree with Bunny about dating still being exciting after years
of marriage.

But if my wife catches me dating...she'll be madder than shes been in
a long time.
