The Old Folks Home

No, I'm not braggin on my wife. Wouldn't want her to get a big head...

But I'll agree with Bunny about dating still being exciting after years
of marriage.

But if my wife catches me dating...she'll be madder than shes been in
a long time.
Don't worry, Spook - I won't tell her.

Quote: Oh I hear you!! MIL divorced right at their 25th. I"m not really sure how we got this far honestly. WHen I am fed up and start screaming for a divorce, he doesn't want one. We are better off together than divorced IMO. In Mass I get 50% without a prenup. I can't see running two households on what he makes so no divorce. He's actually a pretty nice guy, just a fe problems to work through. I don't have any answers yet. I"ve tried an number of solutions and none have worked. Maybe it is because I have been the one working on it and not him.

My brother, and my sister are on their first marriages too. As well as two of my 3 BIL. I'm not always sure why a marriage works. NOt sure works is the right word; maybe more reasons to stay together than to part company. IDK Grass always look greener . . .

No Arielle I think you had the right word when you said "work". Marriage takes a lot of work to keep it together. The whole business of "two become one" is nonsense. You are still two people but you are working on a common goal. Sometimes we don't agree on how to get there but that is where compromise comes in. BTW, the best thing DH and I did was to agree not to mix our money. I know this is not a solution for everyone but having separate bank accounts works great for us. We each have specific bills to pay and can do whatever we want with the rest of the money (well what little there is after the bills

We're both too stubborn to get divorced and thanks insanity

ANyone doing the Easter Hatchathon???

I'm so excited my marans are laying, and my speckled sussex. I'll need to set the SS soon as I have been collecting for about 2 weeks already. To capture the genetics of the early winter layers. The boys were excited to bring me the dark brown eggs! ANd was thrilled to see them. YEAH!!

THe turkey hatch a thon?? Not sure anyone will organize that one like last year. I think everyone is still burned out after the two hatch a thons-- it really was so much fun thanks to the organizers, ( and participants, tooo.)

Bunny, living with my wife is almost like living in an old folks home...

Nine minutes left in the superbowl, and my wife begins yelling for me
to take my blue vitamin and turn of the lights. Bed time.

And I'm not even sleeply
Just can't help yourself can you?

I've thrown my hat in the ring for the Easter hatch, but why, I don't know! I havve already talked to ChooksChick about the Cinco de Mayo Turkey hatch and she said she plans to organize it again. What the heck, I'll probably do both!

Loanwizard - Welcome to our thread, I'm thinking of changing the name to just "The Home" as None of US are old, but we all belong in a home!
