Yes!

My Great, Great Grandmother was a Seamstress too--They did much better than the miners and the Family is still up there.

I am only a partially second generation.... My two families came from elsewhere Dads family originated in Florida but dad was born in Texas.... Moms family originated in Oklahoma mom was born in California. So I keep telling people sometimes I cough up a southern accent... its genetic memory...

And I love San Diego with all its "issues".....

I love that "cough up a southern accent." When ever I'm around southern people, I just start talking that way. I'm not making fun of them, it just seems so easy to emulate.(or perculate whatever word) and I love listening to Brits and Aussies.

I have that problem too....

I grew up around the accent, and when lots of people around me are talking like that, I start to drawl, but then I am so worried that they will thinking that I am making fun of them,....

It's SO easy to slip in the y'alls......

I have a lazy California accent, but my speech cadence is often mistaken for being from Da Souf.

I was in Calgary at a diner and the waitress said "You're from California, aren't you?"
"How did you know?"
"You have a California twang."

I guess it's in the way we say "San Francisco" or something....
