It has been a long time since I've been there but I feel your pain. That's some crazy traffic. The only time it's like that here is with an accident, not just raw volume. I experienced that in LA many years ago. Other places that have insane volume related gridlock today are Chicago, Washington DC and Atlanta. Those and LA are the worst I've experienced. Literally hours to drive across town on an interstate. I couldn't live there. My brother moved to a small SW MO town about 25 years ago. He had serious rush hour traffic getting to work at Emerson Electric in St. L. before he left. Perhaps 40 minutes to go 15 miles. Many years later I rode to his job with him in Carthage, MO. On the way back there was a car in front of us. He was being serious when he proclaimed that he hated driving in rush hour. ONE CAR!!!!! How soon we forget.

10 times as many stops in Tennessee on the side of the highway where the money is heading back to Mexico as the side of the highway with the drugs coming from Mexico.

I've frequently carried large amounts of cash. I bought 8 vehicles on E-Bay, flew there, paid for the car and drove it home. Those were in Texas, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Washington D.C. and outstate Missouri.
I didn't know law enforcement could have stolen my money. Scary.
