The Old Folks Home

Thanksgiving is 1 of my favorite days. You should really look into importing it....it has been a long tradition in my family to cook a ham and a turkey for both thanksgiving and Christmas. We have cornbread dressin, dumplins, tater salad, english peas, devilled eggs, brown and serve rolls, and that weired canned cranberry sauce. The only bad thing about thanksgiving is having to hang out with weired relatives

We got our first turkeys processed this morning and we will get to eat our first home grown turkey! We are very excited! One was a BBB and the other was a BBW the white what about 2-3 pound larger than the bronze.

Proper feast :

Duck or goose

Thick giblet gravy

Corn bread dressing

Knödel

Sweet potatoes

Beans with bacon

Pumpkin pecan pie for dessert
Sounds good to me! I like mashed potatoes with cheddar cheese, sour cream, onion and Parmesan cheese. Mix all together and bake for 30 minutes.
