Congrats on being a new poultry owner. I have oodles of barnyard mixes









 

looked like I saw some sorta naked neck X ? :) the lady I got the chickies from today had a astrolorp naked neck cross but I decided to pass...least are suposedly a barred rock, java, salmon faverollie mixes, that definitely looks like oodles :)
I started with one naked neck chick - now I have about a doz teenagers.

Mine are RIR crosses

I had oodles and oodles of crosses but lost 48 in two days from Newcastle disease - my helpers changed and these guys did not get vaccinated.
 
Is it weird that I knew these reproductive facts mentioned here from before? And if you want freaky reproduction, check out the mating ceremony of slugs.
I think a lot of them were known by poultry people - but the fact that it was in mainstream news grabbed my attention.

Although the Argentinean Lake Duck was a revelation
