The Old Folks Home

Well, since I put Beth and Punkin outdoors during the day, they are not diapered then. She laid the egg outside on the patio table (but could have laid it in the dog bed during her "early inside" visit because i was watching her behavior).

And I have captured Escapee Bunny - aka Dusky! For the past three days, she has been coming into the house to visit her daddy Simba in his hutch. She came in through the door off the deck all on her own. I leave that door slightly open so Sparkle can go out into the garden for her daily constitutional. For two days, I was only able to get within 4 inches of her; she is FAST. But I trapped her inside by coming into the house off the deck and closing that door. Then I closed the office door for a couple of hours.

During that time, I dragged the outside rabbit hutch (from which the geese released the bunnies so many months ago) across the yard to the side patio and set it up with fresh bedding, a filled water bottle and a dish o' pellets for her. I had to carefully discard some found eggs in the upper section.... Silly bantam hens!

When I opened the office door again, Dusky had climbed up boxes of stuff next to Simba's hutch to be at the same level. I am guessing hormones drew her into the house to the buck... Snatched her up and put her in her patio hutch.

I always enjoyed seeing her in the yard. She's the only bunny who stuck around when the geese opened that hutch with the doe and Simba's five progeny in it. MAYBE I can let her out again after a couple of weeks learning that hutch is her safe home and the best place to spend her nights.

I can dream, can't I?

... ok so my sewing skills aren't that good, and I have a hard time following a sewing recipe... but I can certainly give a straightjacket a shot.
The offset pockets are an interesting touch, but I think they'd drive me crazy.

Mentioning crazy, straightjackets are easy - you don't have to worry about getting the sleeves the right length.

Y'all know that there are several people who are now wondering if SOME of us actually NEED those straight jackets.........................................................................just sayin' .............

oh ok,

didn't mean to "stir the pot".

I keep seeing you guys post the weather reports and almost feel guilty. temps in the 60s today, less than 2ft snow all winter here and never more than1-2 inches at a time.Global climate shift is being very kind to rockies (Yellowstone area).Lots of snow up high for summer run off but mild in the basins.Nothing like when I was a kid.No week long blizzards that can freeze your car up while driveing down the road, no -25 plus wind. Now if the wind would ease off it would be perfect here.Id trade you a day or two if i could...well maybe.
Careful there Insanity, we had that mild weather for a couple of years here and now we find ourselves in a drought. It is really snowing right now and we have gotten about 6 or 7 inches. It will still leave us very dry here. Price of corn & beans will go up again if this weather doesn't change around soon.

Yeah SCG, different length of sleeves is OK as long as they are loooooong enough

Wisher, the only reason anybody would be wondering that is if they just hadn't been here long enough.

The rest of us already know.
