Oh, well, the sun lasted about an hour and our temps will be lowering by the weekend, I think.

I'm sure chicory isn't for everyone

The sun is shining, thankfully, after wind so strong that it woke me at 3:42 this morning.   For those cover in snow, I hope it melts quickly.

Anyone else like coffee with chicory?  Yum.

Never had it but I did discover a new coffee I really like.
Add any desired sugar and cream put a Reeses cup in cup and pour hot coffee. The Reese melts and your left with some good coffee.

How do you deal with the waiting? I set 6 assorted mix NN eggs on Sunday and all I want to do is candle them (I haven't touched them), they wont show anything till Saturday anyway. But the waiting is killing me. Instant gratification is the American way and patience has never been my strong suit.

BTW insanity, I know how you feel. I set 22 barnyard mixes on Saturday. Every day I have to tell myself, don't candle yet, you won't see anything.

splenda for the sugar



Sorry to say this but Splenda SUCKS!!!!!!

No matter how I tried cooking with it, adding it to things that need sugar or just staring at it. It sucks!!!!

Sorry for those that can not have sugar. The missus used it for awhile and finally switch to honey.




Coffee is my life blood, I mean, I bleed coffee...


When coffee started raising in price and down sizing the poundage, I hoarded all I could find of the 2 pds plus cans I could find. That is all at the old 7.99 or less prices. I now have 28 cans of coffee, ok, down one today. And don't give me that it will not last long cause it will. smiles....



A true coffee addict will drink any coffee but I have my low standards so they are brand names.



On the weather front, the chickens have ask me to build them a boat. Yes, we are again raining. Seems we get a day or so of sun then days of rain. The chickens want a boat to get to dry or really wet land. The swamps which we don't have but do now are all around the coops. I have boards set up for them to get to higher ground but they are even going under water....

The dogs, cats, horse and I look like soaked rats, or worse. I have to strip before I can enter the house due to mud, water and whatever else has attached itself to me.

That neighbor lady across the way is getting an eye full for sure....

So everyone enjoy their day, no matter what type it is.....

I think we are all adults and nothing posted would seem to offend any kids or young adults..
