I like the blue girl, too. I always favor the ones that are blue or silvery in a mixed bunch. I have gotten several in the "Ameraucana Pullets" bin that came from Ideal. I also have a couple that came from a Campine mix. I will have to get a pic of Mrs. Sterling. She has the markings of a Silver Campine's body but it is all over her neck and head, as well - sort of a lacy silver color. I have also fallen in love with a Marans (?) pullet that looks like she might be Cuckoo colored (although I've never seen a Cuckoo Marans before.) I call her Gracie. She hatched from a batch of eggs that were from a flock of BCM, Wellsumers, and one Birchen Roo. I also named my huge BO/SLW cockeral, today. It suddenly struck me that he looks like a "Dan." So far my roosters for the time being are D'Artagnon, Merlin, and Dan.

I'm keeping a few of blue boys chick--I have 6 blues, and 6 blacks from him. Another blue amercauna is available for next season's breeding pen.

Why is it that I can NEVER spell AMeraucana right?? I use a different spelling everytime!!!

hey bunny lady,

take excedrine it is tylenol asprin and caffine I get brutal head ache MIGRAINS and it helps me I get them all the time 9 times out of 10 it will help but I get fraight trains that you can't stop so it is either the ER or baer and grin it the latter is what I do I am down with a head ache now once in a blue moon but I wake with one nearly every day topamax helped me a great deal but no insurane and can't afford it so I take a lot of excedrine.

I worked at a high stress job and often had migraines. WHen I left the job, I left the migraines behind. I feel for both of you. Hope you find a cure for the migraines.

I take Goody's, BC, or Stanback powders. They are all caffeine, asprin, and some type NSAID. I believe they work better because they taste bad. Just like green Nyquil, it has to work better if you suffer through taking it!

When I was in the hospital and a migraine started, the staff brought me a cup of coffee full of caffiene. DId wonders. ALways seemed to hit about 10-11 pm/ THe staff was very nice, as they came on duty for the night shift they would stop in and ask as they were putting on a fresh pot.

You would think that when I was working the 6 cups a dya would keep the migraines at bay!! maybe too much of a good thing !

yikes, my Ameraucana laid a huge one like my NH today..they were both big today. The NH didn't lay yesterday, I didn't expect her to after that big egg, but she laid another big one, then I go out to find this blue egg..first, the pic of the NH in the carton, then the two beside each other.
