random comment...

I got in trouble for something that I said to spouse.... while I was sleeping.......

so sucks
So much for REM sleep safety.

haha!

actually.... I don't think it was THAT sort of thing.........

But to be honest... I was so deeply asleep that I have no idea what I said..... I asked, what I had said, but Spouse wouldn't tell me exactly what it was that I had said.

Spouse was pretty ticked....

But still hasn't told me what I did.

It WAS post-beer fest.... but dude! I really hadn't had that much to drink! I didn't feel at all under the influence. I know you will not believe me... but it wasn't the beer.

I was super deeply asleep, and spouse poked me or something, and I "was rude".

Maybe you didn't say anything, just a made up excuse to be mad at you.

Man!

You all made me feel so much better!

Whatever it was that I did or said

Spouse is feeling better towards me, and we went out and had drinks and fantastic food. Spouse even suggested I spend some money on me stuff

Wow! It is difficult to type under the influence!

OK, gonna sign off before I get into trouble..... this has taken so much time to type, pretty funny actually.

Also, BIG CITY! Not a single person was stinky! Not anyone!!!!!!!

So much fun to people watch all the big city strangeness.
spousal guilt

living one's life with birds (or other animals) makes showering unnecessary.

ETA
Working with Macaws in CR, showering wasn't a priority unless I was going to walk down to the casino for ladies night.
By CR wildlife statute, a biologist had to reside on the grounds and one had to be present 24/7. They couldn't leave the property until relieved by another. That could be weeks or months at times. One was from New Zealand. He'd volunteer for 6 months at the CR breeding site, then work at a zoo in NZ for 6 mos. to make money.

He was once asked to get off the plane when he was going home because he smelled so bad. He didn't realize it and neither did we.

...
Went out to a nearby wetlands area yesterday. It is supposed to be a mecca for bald eagle watchers but I didn't see a single eagle yesterday. I was probably in the wrong area. I did see lots of good things to photograph though. Spent hours slogging around in the mud and had a great time.
We
We're going to the Eagle Days viewing on the old Chain of Rocks Bridge today on the Mississippi. It's just below the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers. As the river freezes over up north the eagles keep moving south in search of open water. The ice jams up ahead of the chain of rocks opening water below. Fish often get injured going over the chain and are picked up by the eagles.

Video in the following link.

Sorry, I can't figure out how to embed it.

Videos #2 and 6 in the following link are pretty cool.
Also a goofy video #11 shows people in my sister's old neighborhood watching eagles from their front yard.

Another cool video explaining the castles in the middle of the river between the bridge and the chain of rocks

There's 13 prime bald eagle viewing locations in the area but the chain of rocks bridge is just a bicycle ride from the house.

What a neat looking bridge.

There's 2 giant bald eagles that make their home near our property. In our front yard we have 2 enormous pine trees that they like to roost in. The eagles have come after my chickens a few times, but only in the winter (I guess when there's less food). Otherwise, they're gorgeous and welcome here.

That's the old Route 66 bridge replaced by the I-270 loop bridge. Rather than demolishing, it's a walking/biking bridge now.

Cool to have eagles that close.
I often see them when canoeing the small mountain streams in the Ozarks year round.
