Inflation Alert

The market rate for a tooth is 2 gold coins :lau
Don't give her any ideas, oz. The tooth next to it is also loose. She'll be getting another join soon. She has a little purse full of them. Her fairy godmothers give her one for every birthday and holiday. She will be turning 6 on Feb 5th, btw. The grow too dang fast.

Oz is right - 2 gold coins. In the 50's when I lost teeth all I got was 10cents each- even if I kinda helped them fall out because I wanted the money.Look how long ago that was, and you figure in the cost of living (and brushing) increase and there you go.

I don't remember if I saved any of my son's teeth but, I used to have a collection of puppy teeth. It didn't seem gross then like it does now.

She can't wait to tell "Miss Missy," her dentist. She loves to go to the dentist and is avid about brushing and flossing. Just don't try giving her any fruity flavored toothpaste. She hates the stuff they sell for kids...except the toothbrushes. Her dentist gave her a vintage Dentist Barbie for Christmas. Maddy loved the one she kept at the office so she found another on eBay for her. Like she needs another Barbie.

My daughters used to hang on to their lost tooth for a little while, and would tell family members (grandparents, aunts, etc.) they had lost a tooth, then charge a dollar to see it. Usually after three days, they would then put it under their pillow for the tooth fairy. They would get about $10.00 a tooth that way. LOL!
