I didn't go to the winery. I don't know what that's about. I do like wine though! Also, that is so gross to think of your food crawling on your plate while you were eating it. Ugh!!!!!
 
Hi Sswanee welcome to the Old Folks home, you don't have to be old to join. This is a great, friendly thread, and topics seem to change by the minute. You can pop in any time if you want to change the subject. I'm hoping we have finished the live, crawling food bit. I don't like seafood to start with - except canned (dead) tuna.
 
I like something with caramel and nuts. Although fruity ice creams can be tasty too, and chocolate is nice, but when it comes to all time favorite, the traditional vanilla is one that always stays high on my list.

It's been excruciating here. BF texted me a pictured of the first pip around 1100. Got home and more pips but nothing advanced. Finally went to bed. Got up around 0100 and saw the first one had just wiggled free of its shell. 3 more are out since then.

My favorite store bought are the things that have chocolate in them. Second favorite is strawberry with the big chunks (Haagen Daaz). At home I make a nice vanilla bean and a really nice custard that has a ton of eggs in it. I make it when the ducks are laying, it's so rich and good. And I screwed up a batch of strawberry vanilla bean jam this year - it didn't set - and that was such a nice mistake because that is tasty on top of ice cream.

I really like fresh strawberries with vanilla ice cream, but the store bought strawberry flavors usually tasty a bit too artificial to me. I'm not a big fan of strawberry jam either, I'm more of a raspberry man.
