Quote: I'm sorry! I do know most games need speed that is why I thought is is likely your dial up but just guessing. I don't know to much about computers.

OMG your know 10x what I know! The best I can do is follow instructions .or follow leads . . . hard to act on "click on gold info bar" when there is NOTHING in yellow or gold. lol

The game site says my flash is not compatible. My previous version was compatible. But that pc is long gone. THe current one is flash version 10, I think. ANother possibility was that the antivirus program was blocking it. I looked at that and the box listing the recent blocks was empty. SO I am assuming antivirus is not blocking the gaming site. I really do like coolmath-games.com and I used to spend too many hours late into the night trying to beat the levels. My kids need it now to keep up their math facts.
I still think you should try to download google chrome because when I was playing pioneer trail or other games on face book google chrome was the only browser that would play the games fast enough and it was the shockwave and flash player that works in the chrome best to play the games. If I would have had to use IE or Firefox I would have quit long before I did. But also java can cause problems with games. But you have a new computer so you should not be having these issues if you try google chrome you should be able to play any game you did before.

I loved GC and that was all I used. Always knew when the boys had been gaming as Firefox would be up. lol Need to get GC loaded in. So far cant find a version compatible with Windows 7. I have the link to the version Windows 8.1 but wasn't sure it would be the right one to use. ?????

Good idea re: kicking an empty milk carton. I just happen to have one after pouring warm milk down sink. Much safer than kicking buckets - ah that would be bad on two levels.

My son hates to change light bulbs so he changed out the worst offenders with those new LED things. My kitchen fixture has 5 bulbs- the light is blinding, I only put one light on period. Still see spots and could do surgery on the kitchen table. He got them at Home depot.

My brother got his LED's at Walmart and they burned out almost immediately. I think they do best in open fixtures - closed things like globes get too hot.

You know you are old when they sell smoke alarms, co detectors etc. with 10 year batteries AND you stop and think "Do I need one that lasts that long?" I'm already fretting about the MASS invasion of the 17 year cicadas.

I figure I'll only be around for the next batch. I doubt anyone else fixates on stuff like I do. Then my son figured out he can retire in 20 something and I said, " OOOH, I won't be here to see it."

Bunny not sure if gelding will do this behavior too but it was definitely a boy. I have other pictures where it is obvious. ;-)

re: snaking behavior
I had an Arabian mare that was passed around to all sorts of different disciplines before she got to me. One person jumped her. One drove her. One did western on her. One showed her. They all claimed she was sour (and on some days her expression was like she had smelled something bad), but what she really needed was to relax.... She was the best riding horse I ever had.

We were cruising on Mt. Diablo and enjoying the scenery when I noticed the cow roundup was going on (when cattle were still allowed to graze) and the cows were all over the hill in the scrub. I was riding English, but asked if the mounted rangers and cow hands wanted any help. The cow hands sort of snickered -- little Arab mare with her long tail tied up and decked out English -- but I let La Morena do her thing....and, WOW, did she. She popped the brush and went after the cows in that snaking mode...all ears back and teeth! She probably looked like some sort of crazed equine dragon. Anyway, the lazy cows got to moving in a hurry down to the safety of the trail and the ranger cow hands gave a knowing nod when we emerged and went on our way.

By the way, the last picture -- blue mountain range and foggy valley -- almost looks like a painting! Spectacular.

WE have been playing with lots of new recipes as my youngest seems to be a budding chef. Here is one that we tried and didn't like the plainest, read "blaahhh" , stew and so doctored it with ham and mustard. Now it is a hit.

1 tblsp olive oil
1 tblsp butter
Melt in large stock pot, then add
1/2 onion, fine dice
8 oz cremini mushrooms ( we use reg white type too), sliced or diced

When wilted and even slightly browned add:
3 cloves minced ( 1 Tblsp)
8 cups kale torn into bite size peices
2 cups low sodium beef broth

Cover until kale is wilted. THen uncover and simmer to reduce liquids. Add and mix:
1 cup diced ham
15.5 oz can white beans, like canalini, drained and rinsed
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
2 tablsp prepared mustard, your choice
1/2 cup parmesan cheese

We made the first batch 2 days ago. And another batch this afternoon. THe mustard really pulls it all together!

Quote: Glad your little Arab mare got to show off her stuff!!!

I so agree with you. Daily training can sour a horse. My first horse taught me that. Once I figure out why he was not thrilled to see the ring again, I tried to finish each ring session with a ride in the woods. Just the two of us. Kept him fresh . . . and physcially strong! WE both were in good shape. Looking back we enjoyed the long trail rides together best. He is a little anglo-arab and just hangs out with a horsy friend he can boss around these days. Blasts out of stall every morning . . .love the arabs: tough horses. and smart.

Mares do that behavior too. Especially Alpha mares. Stallions will bow down to an Alpha mare. My mare is very very good at it....

Geldings will as well bot not as often. Its a dominance behavior. depending on the age and sex of the group it could be a prelude to war or just moving the other horses of for a favored snack.

Diva, sorry about your fridge.

I feel a bit lost with all this horse talk, that's something that I would like to be able to relate to, but I can't yet. One day I'm going to take up riding though.
