what you are seeing is Mustard in bloom. The green will be wild oats..... and some grasses Those hills will be brown soon.

@tnspursfan09 We used this stuff on our dog for a bad wound, I wonder if it will help your roos comb and wattles. He ripped his shoulder wide open right to the muscle, about four inches long. It had stopped bleeding by time we noticed it. Used iodine and then this stuff, cone on his head. I was shocked, never got infected and healed great. Missing hair there, but you can't even see a scar.

I saw your cry for assistance @bamadude but was caught up in managing my flock via phone.

We just got over cocci outbreak. We lost 3 juvies but it could have been a lot worse.

The new brooder was complete just in the nick of time - it allowed us to thin the birds out.

We are also selling at younger ages with lots of day olds now that out hatches are predictable. This keeps brooders emptier too. 70 birds shipped this last weekend and atleast that many will go out on Sat.

@CanuckBock congrats on the recognition. All this talk on combs reminds me I need a haircut.

@ChickenCanoe I hope you find the Penes you are looking for. My current quests are for a cock with blue eggs. and a Pekin Drake. I got really excited when my pekins started laying - until i started getting an egg for every bird in the pen. I am not sure if I will risk biosecurity to introduce an adult bird. Thoughts?
