The Old Folks Home

I'm glad you could take note of the number, it was going to be difficult for me to see, from underneath!

Well, few things can top this, folks:

Punkin the Night-time House Chicken just went broody in the dog bed under the TV table.

There was a post about a BO that was trying to squeeze into the wall of their coop. I thought it was trying to go broody there.

A dog bed is precious!

Shorty decided to maybe get himself some Colic or just a bit of colic yesterday afternoon. (really started acting like he had it) Ok, that did not sound right. Was up most of the night watching, getting him to stand and walking him. For those with Horses you know what I had to do. For those without, imagine a 2 year old that is winey, moaning, will not move, lays down, fights you when you try to get him up and rolling all over the place. Now add 800 or so pds to that infant.
I watered him, salted him, metasmucialed him and walked him off and on last night. To top it off, it was cold. I eat 1200 mgs of vit C this am, I can not get sick.... **** horse. Today, he is almost back to normal, I hope. I seemed to catch it before it became full blown colic, so that was nice.... Just have to watch him and what he eats, and hope.

Now the dogs, cats and chickens want hands on personal time like they saw Shorty get.

Wow tick, glad your Shorty is ok! I've always always wanted a horse, since I was a kid. But it could never happen. I had my time riding though..and what great memories. In High School I rented from some gals that had horses, and wanted to keep them in shape. I always got the same horse when I went. We rode in some great places down in our river bottoms. Then in laws had them. So, I do know what colic is because I was around them. So, very happy that you caught it fast. And ron is right..the animals know you love them.
