I hear ya. I am fixing to be a great-grandma for the first time in about 5 months!

I really am not old enough to be one yet at 54!

No that chicken was one of my January hatches that finally got released into the coop tonight. She was TERRIFIED of the toms. I think I'm going to have to cull the toms. They are downright jerks this time of year and I won't have it.

Very interesting... they would chock it up to stupidity?

I had a boy friend once about 125-35 lbs soaking wet. Good dancer wound up moving in with him.... One day I was digging in the closet for something and I found a shotgun a 22 rifle a couple of pistols and ammo.... I had been livng there about two months. And did not know about them the were shoved back on a top shelf and buried under a pillow.

When he got home from work and I asked him... "why didnt you tell me you had fire arms hidden in the closet?" He had two boys one was six and one was four at the time. I fgured hed say keeping them up out of the reach of the kids. Well Um no.

He said, "I forgot they were there... I am not supposed to have them because I am on probation." "That would have been something nice to have told me..." I stopped waiting for an explanation.

He said it was because of his divorce... He had just started dating again and was out with this woman and he took her to the Lakeside Hotel for some drinks and to shoot pool. Now The Lakeside Hotel had a reputation as a Biker bar and a Rodeo bar and the Native Americans from the Reservation would come there too. There was also one of those hotels where you rent rooms by the hour... in the back... And they teach the waitresses how to break a bottle for self defense.

He said this Hells Angel started hitting on his date... and he went nuts... He opened his Swiss army knife with a two and a half inch blade and stabbed the Hells Angle several times before someone swatted him off. The Hells Angel was laughing so hard by the end of it when the police came he wouldn't press charges. But the DA did.

So... thats how I wound up dating a guy on probation. AND it still took me another three months to move out... stupid me.

I'm glad your ok and recovered. I had two C sections and they are really not all that bad to recover from. I also had three children natural so I have a high tolerance for pain.


I went to the Med Center which is like Pri Med and got a cortisone shot that helps relieve the pain by relieving the swelling. I could not even close my hand before the shot now I can. I got locked in my own bedroom because I could not open the door one day. So it is important to be able to use your hands. lol
I feel so much better right now thank GOD! I am seeing a new Dr. the end of the month and hopefully we will like him and keep him for a general Dr.

see if you cant get your door knobs switched out for the lever kind... do you think that might help?

Wisher, is that nationwide policy? Here I think you have to press charges for assault for it to lead to anything, but for grave assault they can press charges without the victims consent. The line between grave and regular assault is usually premeditation and the use of some sort of weapon, like a gun, knife or blunt instrument.

I think Wisher answered this... but Each State is much like its own country they follow a general set of guide lines and tweak as they feel is appropriate. There are Federal laws and State laws sometimes they counteract each other but most times they go together.

Thats why there is Highway patrol, Local Sherifs, City police and even police in a township... Then there are Federal Marshals and FBI or Federal Beaurau of Investigation. Even the Forest Rangers for Federal parks fall within this group because they are allowed to carry fire arms.

Then there is the Border Patrol and ICE (ICE's primary mission is to promote homeland security and public safety through the criminal and civil enforcement of federal laws governing border control, customs ...)

I go through a Border Patrol Check point every time I go to my house. they can arrest you for traffic violations, drugs and other stuff... but they will call the appropriate agency to haul you away for anything other being smuggled into the country. But thats California I dont know how it is in Arizona and Texas...
