Afternoon OFH buddies. As of last night I now have 84 eggs in my stryobators. I love the ihatch app!

Maddy and I have been planting our veggies all day and I thought I'd take a break in the shade while she finishes up with the bell peppers.

I meant it would be nice and we would be cooler if we had the jobs they had in the 50s. Would be nice if there was actually products made in the USA like in the 50s also.
There is less people working in the US right now than there was 30+yrs ago, pretty sure our population hasn't went down.

Ahh, I see..well, did you know, that 30% more collage students are working today than they were in the 80's. Not the 70's..but still, that's impressive.
Yes, jobs back then. Not too hard to find. I think there was a lot of construction going on back then.

Good hard labor too.
Well, won't get into politics, but we just may know why there are less working..too many easy payouts.
Products made in the USA. There was a time that I would laterally look at tags to make sure I was buying from here. Then, it got to be mostly impossible.

Politics again. The best we can do about it is....vote for the guy we want.

I must say, the fact that anyone who has studied collages finds employment is amazing to me.

But to be serious, the reason manufacturing jobs have moved overseas is that no one in the West is willing to make a Nike sneaker for the same price that the sweatshop in Asia can spit them out. And consumers don't care enough about the ethical aspects of it's production for that to weigh heavier than the price. So Indonesian made shoes and Chinese tools it is.
