The Old Folks Home

I got my permit to ship up north today! I am very excited we all were jumping thru hoops! I hope there is not this much to do for every State I try to ship to.

DiDi, are you getting wind?? Wow, having some small micro bursts here. Hope they don't get any worse. Have eggs in a bator, and that darn wind tends to take out the power more often than a lightening storm! Which btw, we are supposed to get tonight or tomorrow..which explains the wind..blowing in the storm.

To ease tension, I like to trim the bushes/minor trees. I go out with my "castrator" (branch lopper) and by the time I am done I have piles of branches well over 6 ft.tall, waiting by the street, for the village shredder truck to make an appearance. Neighbors and friends know "she was thinking of ex BF no.2000 or so,." Later I have the best sleep of my life.

SCG the only things I do that relieve stress are knitting or crocheting or messing with my birds.

Yup. Sometimes you just need something that you have to concentrate on to succeed at to get your mind off everything else. I have a bird and birdhouse quilt I'll be starting this week (Mario is on hold) and then a hen and chick quilt after that. Then back to Mario. Joann's is having a sale of fat quarters for 75 cents right now - I picked up a ton for the scrappy birdhouse quilt. About halfway home I remembered my great-step-aunt requested some doilies for her bureaus that I forgot to pick fabric up for. Oh well, sale goes through Saturday.

Good for you! How many more states do you need a permit for?

I love you, girl. I wish you lived closer. We could trim some major hedges.

I wonder how many hoops you have to jump through to process meat birds for sale. I haven't looked into it yet, it'll be a few years before I will be wanting to look into it. Have a dream of someday selling large roasting capons and fibro black meat birds. There is only a couple places that sell them and they are $$$. I'll be raising both for ourselves anyway.
