This is what my backyard looked like on Monday. Those darn tarps would catch the wind while I was trying to pull it off my neighbor's shop roof and I pulled my back out. Today is my first day out of bed since. Now we're going to be in the middle 80s and I get to go out and finish trying to repair everything. I'm slathered with Arnica gel and just took 2 Excedrine, so waiting for everything to kick in, so I can get out there. In the meantime, I have my Marans running loose in the yar and also so Games and my Purple egg project cockerel who is testosterone driven. Wish me luck!
Trust me I almost did cry. But it was my fault. I hadn't fastened it all down to the frame, because I wanted to build the front better first. There's a lot of damage out there. And out front. Just mad that I have to do this when I was so close to being able to do something else. The winds get bad, but I think once I finish it will hold up as good as the little hoop coops. If this was me, I'd probably cry. The wind did that?? WOW. Is that normal weather for there?
I have to say every winter we get a nasty storm that knocks the gutters off and every spring I have to go and put the gutters back on once the snow melts and I can find them... and I thought *that* was annoying.
Quote: The winds were gusting over 50mph with this wind storm. It was from the North. We can get higher with pacific storms and they come from the south--75mph ish--low level hurricane winds. The Sierras get over 100mph sometimes. The wind this week was also bad because it rained last week and the trees have leaves.
