There's certain things you can fix from a hatch and certain things you can't. I've learned the hard way that if you try on certain things the outcome is almost never good and then you get attached.
I will now cull immediately upon notice:
wry necks
cross beak
slipped tendon

Sure to add more to my list as I continue to hatch. Seems like the more I hatch the more weird things come up.

Here they have completely locked down 3 counties, banning anyone in them from transporting birds, holding or attending any swap meets, shows, etc. and any farm or flock found with a sick bird is immediately quarantined, entire flock culled and disposed of onsite and then they go to every flock in a 10 mile radius, quarantine, do an inspection and return again in 10 days (I think that's right) and inspect again.

Ah, I'm still guilty of hatch-helping.

We have major humidity issues here. I help when it gets to the end.

To cull or not to cull... got one in the bator now that I almost culled five days ago. Am II glad I didn't? Sort of, but only because it taught me how to deal with one that didn't absorb it's yolk.
