More thoughts... every year the Mallards and geese stop by every day, but this year there seem to be many more of them and they are staying longer than they did in previous years. I know this is not ideal, and I know I shouldn't encourage it by feeding them, but it's kind of hard not to have feed out for my free rangers.

why do you have wry neck on the list? Some of the stuff I have read said that it can be completely curable?

Is it because there is the risk that it is genetic?

Mine didn't get cured. It was a cute little turken. I don't want to go through that again.

I am rather hoping that by the time all of the migratory birds make it to Alaska, that the sick ones will be dead.


Most of the migratory birds by my house are the tiny little song birds... not sure how to keep those out of my runs etc.

I'm a bit nervous about the bird flu... I can't imagine the government coming to cull my flock. I would be devastated.



Here's my new sewing machine. The drawers are in amazing shape. The machine is a bit rusted and the decorative paint is wiped off in parts where the machine gets heavy use, but I still love it. It even came with the singer "puzzle box" full of accessories.
