I know it is down right scary! All my birds are in covered pens and runs. I went to TSC and bought some of the tarps they had on sale 2 for 4.99 and covered all the pens and runs till this mess in caught up on or dealt with. Or maybe forever!That's 10% of all the commercial laying hens in Iowa.
I'm not mad at commercial agriculture because someone has to feed all these urbanites but that is the downside of such close confinement.
I need more bird netting.
I would not even know what to do if I had a pond that wild fowl were in right nowI usually free range mine. I haven't liked the poop all over anyway, they are confined to coop and run now. Too many times geese are hanging out in our front yard and pond.
