The Old Folks Home

Nope. They are all from my flock. Hatched and raised here. Their parents were bought as chicks from TSC. They're mutts. and now Hedwig has joined Tiana.
It must be Sourlands broody
GPS. It has been wonky--He aimed it at Alaskan and hit my place in California....

I know Sour is a broody magician but, does he have a broody license and authority to use it in other jurisdictions. I don't know what I just said but, ask him anyway

The three white hens are from my leghorn hen and either a bantam golden duckwing Araucana or a BO. I'd never expect them to go broody. The other is BO x red sex link. My problem now is that they are occupying the favorite nest boxes, so the other hens are laying on top of them. No one ever wants to lay in the top three boxes. So do I move them or put in more boxes?

Broody's do not like being moved, they may even abandon their eggs. And mark broody eggs so you know if another hen has been making unauthorized deposits.

I spend mothers day zooming up to my house to leave money for the farrier.... Were doing it on Wednesday...

Johnny is a good guy loves my horse and my horse loves him... He calls me when its time to trim her usually but this time His day job got in the way.... Last time she was trimmed was some time after Thanksgiving...

Needless to say shes walking on three inch hoof walls. She sheds her sole every eight weeks and while she does wear her hoofs down they are flint rock hard.... and a full inch thick.

I have had farriers bend their nippers on her feet.... But Johnny has the right tools and is patient with her.

Went to Mothers Day dinner with DD, Maddy, DH and the fairy Godmothers @ Olive Garden

Nice Pic!
Happy Mothers day to you also.

Mother nature at her best, it's coming this way. What can you do?

Mice they do so much damage before you even know they are in!

Congrats on your broody hatch! Hope the rest will hatch!

Our broody is sitting on some chicks I can hear them but she is still sitting so we can't see them. I have no idea how many eggs she had under her.
I marked down all my poults for a great Mothers day sale and they are all sold! YEAH!

Thanks. Yeah on the sale!
@sourland has been dancing again. He heard that some of us wanted broodies, and he's always glad to oblige. Unfortunately, his broody GPS is pretty random - or so he claims.

I asked a while back but he can quit now. I've got all I can use. Anything different about breaking a broody duck? She is being more persistent.
