I mark my eggs with a ring all the way around the middle. It doesn't have to be solid, it can be - - - - - -
That way, I can see the stripe without having to pick the eggs up. I also count the marked ones so I can count to make sure I have them all and no extras.

Thanks Wisher. We are going out to get eggs shortly and I will be marking the eggs. I like the ring idea.

Thanks

It was great to become friends with SCG. We are both quirky, both have a sense of humor and the friendship can withstand getting on each other's nerves at times. What more could you ask for?

Pretty sure I annoyed you with Emerald Pools trail. That was my intent at least.

And those strawberries alone look wonderful. I would have eaten a few just like that. Yum!

That looks soooo good I can't even say. I'd eat it without the crust, just looks wonderful. YUM.

The weather had not been cooperating and my run construction was delayed first by the landscapers who were busy in the compound for a week putting in some railroad tie beds and 21 tons of gravel and then by rain last weekend (when I wanted to work) and so the push was to get the roof of the run done before the weather hit later today. So yesterday and this morning I was jamming on shingling...a task I don't particularly enjoy because there's an innate fear of heights and gyrations on the ladder. I was putting the ladder away from my finished task just as the first raindrops fell. Lots of folks driving by slowing for a good look. I anticipate birds will be using it by Friday as all that's left is putting in doors, attaching the chicken gangplank ramp and hooking up the solar charger for the coop door. At last the end of this project is in sight!

Chicken run roof is done!

I really loved putting on the finishing touches.... How cool is
this!

Yep. Pretty interesting about liquor in Utah. I was helping do an art install in Kanab and I was designated to get some wine for dinner. The liquor store was right next to the district attorneys office. You had to sign in and sign out and it was registered what you bought. Really?! The store was tiny, too. Hardly any selection.

Peep I wonder if it was because you were buying the wine for an event? Utah is funny about wine, liquor and "full test" beer. You do have to get those at a state run liquor store but I have never had to sign for my purchases at the store. You can get the lower alcohol content beer at grocery stores. It is a bit of a PIA around the holidays because you have to plan your schedule a bit around when the liquor store is open.
