Red hive debuted last year (painted red). They were quite ornery. I was not exactly distraught when they died.


Blue hive was a pleasure to deal with. They were calm, cool and collected.

Wow, sorry you lost your queen SCG... Are you sure she flew away? After they're mated, they don't normally do that

unless as part of a swarm... As a package instal, they shouldn't be anywhere near swarm condition... I forget where I read/heard it, but red is not a good color for bees as they can't see it. I guess the best colors are blue and shades of purple, then yellows. I decided to just stay with the natural wood and not paint or stain... maybe I'm just lazy

So what are you going to do about that hive?

excellent attitude... doing job interviews while still working is very very good practice... So if a surprise down size comes along you wont be without interview skills.

i worked as a contract employee for so long I forgot how to write a resume and do the cold turkey interview... when presented with the situation I froze. I was too used to having a head hunter do the preliminary stuff...
