The hot spring spas are all at the base of the volcanos.Volcano slopes can make it so you don't need to make a fire as they can provide it for you! And as I recall, many of the volcanoes in Central America are active.... Could make for some very hot times!
Our high school typing class was a whole year. I got pretty good. Part of my time in the army, I was a colonel's secretary. During most of it I was a S2 (military intelligence) clerk typist that was all day typing. Multi copy forms with all the blue carbon paper. I know, the above parenthesized phrase is an oxymoron. I was also a general's driver.ohyep I learned to type on a manual typewriter... PROOF that I will be six decades tomorrow.![]()

... The very best thing about typing on a computer is not having to start a new paper page when you make a typo - mistake gone, correction in place. What a time (and paper) saver!!! ...
I think my hands are OK but who is that person in the mirror? What I hate is when I forget.....
And I actually look at myself in the mirror....
Oh, and I try not to look at my hands.
You have fruit in the high desert? What, cactus?Silly Boy....I wash fruit for "guests".... or from the store.... If its on a tree out in the yard... fair game.

I think I'll be excited for medicare. 2 more years, WHOOP WHOOP!When we were younger we were always looking forward to birthdays - double digits, official teenager, driving age, voting age (smoking age), alcohol. After that there's not much left to look forward to. I haven't seen too many people excited to hit Medicare.
We should come up with some milestones so there's something to look forward to.
Good number. I'm sure I'll make 100.How about being the oldest person to ever live? Sounds like a goal to me. I'm going for 200.
Everyone needs a hobby.![]()
When people get old, they're more comfortable about the inevitable. And I would be totally fine if I died tonight. I've had a good life. Don't be sad for me.
X2If you eat those greens you will live forever
When the kids were little, we had 3 bathrooms and in 3 days all 3 were clogged. I usually do all my own plumbing but back then I was working 7 twelves and had no time. The plumber took the toilets outside and found my daughter's dolls in each one.We have a lousy toilet in this house - it plugs up about once a month unless you hold the flush down for a little while every time you flush. Luckily, it only seems to back-up when DH uses it. I know it is not the plumbing under the floor, I went in the basement and checked it out the last time it plugged up completely. The toilet plumbing drops right down into the 4" cast iron pipe and straight out of the basement. DH is determined to change out the toilet when we get a little ahead on our finances. I can't wait till we remodel the bathroom, but that won't happen until after we add a bathroom upstairs - which we can't do until we raise the roof over the kitchen...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEB!
I don't think 100 acres can be called a lot. A farm or woodland parcel at least.Only to more land/less people/less traffic.
My goal is to move north of Caribou when I retire. Been looking at hundred+ acre lots up there but then I spent my slush fund on a new roof and house paint and now I can't even afford to dream.
As bama usually comments... you could move...Felix, I will gladly trade you the 90's we are headed for today, for your coolish 65,![]()
Sorry Oz, but I get to add my two cents to the conversation and then I am done.
I believe in DNR's for specific reasons. Not for reasons such as if I were going to be paralyzed but if I have head trauma where I do not have hope of recovering consciousness. I also feel people should be allowed to die with dignity and choose to have a DNR if that is what they want. Obviously this is a very personal choice and I think it should always be up to the individual. Now when it comes to being buried, nope not for me. I completely understand people who wish to be buried but have no wish at all to moulder away in a grave. Spread my ashes on the trails and I will be happy.
All that being said, not planning on dying any time soon. Plan on pounding out miles and miles of trails in my life still.![]()
