Hey, superchemicalgirl, I work at the large orange home improvement place and have never seen a Homer bucket like that one. Is it old? Where did you get it?

I am a giant failure.

I put the game cam out so I could watch the rat's demise in all its glory.

When I went out this morning there was no rat. So I dragged the game cam in.

There were multiple photos of the rat bypassing the glue traps... jumping over them, walking around them. The rat sniffed the bucket but said no, thank you.

And then I got to this picture and freaked:


Oh and then I managed to get my hand caught in the glue traps and then as I was trying to get my hand out of the glue trap, got the glue traps stuck together. Now they're useless.

Ours was dispatched with a Walther P22, one shot to the gut.

I've used a .22 before. Had one on my front lawn last spring. It had already taken a couple of chickens out free ranging. A .22 to the head (only shot I had) did the deed.

Ugg, don't have either one.

It has been over 50 years since I shot a gun. With the rather close houses, too risky for me.
