I don't know if it is a new thing or not..... but I kind of think that they are on all front loaders. I am not sure about top loaders.

The washer that I am chunking right now was maybe 9 years old, maybe only 8.

The new one I am getting is an LG, like @superchemicalgirl has. I think that is the only brand with an easy access lint trap, the other models have them, they just hide them in order to make your life miserable, or maybe to help repairmen get business.

Hello everyone, Hoping I am oldenough for this thread. I just had to chime in on this one the Washer lint thing is important but if you happen to use Dryer sheets make sure once a month or so you run the lint trap under some water the wax on the dryer sheets can clog off the screen and seal it making it hard for enough air to get through and when that happens your clothes take longer to dry and if not cleaned with a mild dish soap it can eventually overheat your dryer and cause it to stop working all together.

Also if you have senor drying like normal or very dry settings you need to wipe off the sensors as well cuz the wax can clog them too.

just a tip.

Good morning everyone. I went to the the doc in the box yesterday to get a shot and my DH was reading a magazine and found a letter in it written about a back yard chicken farmer and the state of Oklahoma taking and selling their eggs as a public resource! I tried looking around online and have not found anything yet. I also just emailed this to my sister who lives in Ok. to see if she has heard anything about it.
I took a pic of it but the quality is not great from my phone.

THis is certainly very distressing. . . but not the first or second or third move the "government" has taken to limit self sufficiency and choice of the AMerican people. We need to stand up for our rights. . and get involved with what government is doing to make sure the politicians ARE working for the best for the people of our communities.

Thanks CHickadoodles for posting this.

Please meet our new hen. She is, what we think,a Mille Fleur Old English bantam cross, 7 months old & very spoiled:) Her name is Beautiful. We bought her from a BYC member here in town. I don't know her BYC I.D.name, but it is Alicia in Bakersfield, CA.She's so pretty, but quite a chicken princess. And so tame I think she could live in the house ( but that won't happen.lol

Woman up the road from us does awesome wood burnings. I saw a 'hope chest'? she did that looked like something from Thomas Kinkade. She also does wild turkey feather paintings. My father always gives her his tails, she gave him a real nice one of a wild tom turkey painted on a wild turkey feather, background scenery and all, amazing.
Turkey feathers are favorites among feather painters bc they are sturdy and nice and wide.I use all kinds of feathers that are legal. I started painting on small drop feathers from seabirds. It wasn't til a few years later when I joined the online feather painting group that I discovered these large feathers. I painted the chicken I showed you on a macaw feather. I get the trimmed feathers of the exotic birds from a bird shop here in town. The smallest feather I've ever challenged myself with was only 1/2"x1/2"and I painted a full bull elephant on it:) one of my cousins actually made a joke about a tiny feather she found one day about me doing a painting for her. She is now the owner of that tiny feather painting:)
