later Perchie! Drive carefully. :)

ron..so happy for your wife, and you. I know how it is to worry about a loved one.

She already has lost the bone and joint pain. She slept better last night than she has in years and was able to do jumping jacks this morning. It is amazing how much better a person will feel when they are not being poisoned bye too much of an electrolyte.

Best news of all Ron!! Please give her our speedy recovery wishes! :weee

for anyone who may care.... going off line for a few hours....  Road trip to the house to pay the farrier

Drive safe!

Ron, that is the best news ever!

Hummers :gig Those fancy ones sure are neat....I wish I could see them in person! I love the fact that they have such giant warlike personalities in a tiny little package.

Im baaak... all went well. The farrier had tried to hand me off to a protoge because hes got a job building roads about 300 miles from here. But the guy never called me NOr did he let Johnny know he didnt want to drive out to Jacumba

So Johnny called and said hed be up there TODAY at 1:00 pm... So I bailed.... A litlte talk and watching him work with my horse... she can be a pissant. but He got her done... Last time she was trimmed was in January. so she had eight months worht.... Funny thing is she has very very good feet so she can stand on a good two inches of hoof wall without a chip.

So how it goes she sheds her sole and that leaves an inch of foot to walk on. The foot chips an wears down just through normal walking about... By the time she sheds her sole again shes got another inch... She has gone as long as a year without a trim this way.... Or her feet Look a mess but the arent really its just cosmetic. So I wound up asking him if he would be willing to put her on a six month schedual.... YAY he accepted...

So Now we are tentatively scheduled again sometime in January or February. I am going to buy a draft sized hoof stand for him to use though. His light horse one is wearing out. This way IF I get fit... I can do some maintenence myself... No trims but I could file and trim off stuff thats "hanging"... LOL.

Hes also a horse trainer and when My girl refused to get caught... He made her work till she realized Hey life is much easier when you behave. She gets handled very little these days... But hes not rough and she loves him to death...

OH and because it will be more work once he gets out to trim... the price went to 100 bucks....

Before it was 60 bucks every six to 8 weeks so its a deal.
