Hi everyone, I just found this fun thread. I would like to join the Old Folks home. I see a lot of friendly posts here. I saw the post on gardening. I had a neighbor that shared a word of wisdom with me. He said not to plant your seeds until the leaves on the Oak trees are as big as a squirrel's ear. I have followed that for several years and it seems to work fairly well. I have started straw bale gardening this year. It looks pretty easy and I'm excited to see how it works since this is the first time I've tried it. I planted sugar baby watermelons and cantaloupes this week. I have a few heirloom tomatoes growing now and my 'taters are 3 feet tall!
I'm so glad spring is here.
