The Old Folks Home

I have never understood how a woman of that sort ever manages to get anything done (other than her hair and nails, I mean). I would spend as much time primping as working - it doesn't seem to matter what I'm doing, it's gonna show on me somehow!

Absolutely agree. Diva, I would likely be one of those women shunned or burned at the stake. Or be too poor to worry about frivolous things like dress and hair.

Today I need to bring in and stack 2 cords of firewood. I'm sure I'll be gross after that. And I don't much care.

I've read a bit here, not posted much though. Still trying to learn everyone, and see if I might fit in. You seem like a bunch of nice folks, and I've "met" a few of you elsewhere, so I thought maybe I'd join in, if you don't mind?

Welcome and you don't have to be "old" to enjoy this thread.

Welcome to the old folk's home. We have all kinds here, you'll fit in. If you don't fit in with the topic at hand, just change it. We have many topics going on at once.

Yeah and Welcome @WVduckchick I wont be talking much today... blink blink blink ... Kind of hung over... um er not feeling to sparky today....

Though I will be dry fitting some connectors for my stock tanks... working out in the garage....going to get coffee soon.

Thanks everybody! :hugs

I don't consider myself old (most days) but I'm no spring chicken! Ok I just turned 50 this summer. I'm happily married, only been raising chickens and ducks for about a year. Chicken math, yes I know what that is! It smacked me hard. I enjoy the hatching especially, but love all my birds.

I also have alot of other varied interests, which many of you seem to share...I'm sure we'll get to those as you guys continue to converse. I'll jump in on all sorts or subjects!

You will get along fine here.

We chat about lots of things but it is also a good place to ask poultry questions. We represent a lot of different poultry and even bunnies!

Go team bunnies! We might be getting some more bunnies sometime this weekend. If those girls are actually preggers. They've certainly grown in size at least but we haven't seen much nesting behavior.
