The Old Folks Home

I looked it up, Bunny, but mine is nothing like that. It's more a tragic love story.
I didn't think it would be - I was just using that as an illustration of the fact that "animal stories" aren't always written for kids. The Plague Dogs is actually a very dark, painful read; while you keep hoping for something bright and positive to happen, it hardly ever does. I understand that even the fairly upbeat ending wasn't entirely the author's idea - I doubt the book would have sold at all without it, no matter how much of a reputation Richard Adams had at that point.

SCG, sure, not that I seem to have the best reply percentage. And do you really want a English as a third language speaker reviewing something? But yeah, I like giving input. Actually, working as an editor (in English) would be sort of something I'd like to do. I do have some mannerisms though, the worst of which is that I tend to be a bit long winded in my output, often producing sentences that carry on and on, comma after comma, never reaching an end while occupying row after row and page after page, but if you're okay with that, I'd be glad to take a peek.

The problem I'm having with my resume is getting across that I'm an awesome worker and that I don't have ADHD when it comes to jobs. Oh look, a chicken.

Despite the fact that I've been at the same employer since 2007 I've held 7 different positions in that time period. One of them not even in the field I have a degree in.

Basically, give it to SCG. She'll eat anything.

I'd see that as a strength myself, means you're able to adapt to new situations. Although, playing devil's advocate, it could mean you're not suited for anything and keep getting bumped around. Guess the difference is how you present yourself.

having written several hundred resumes for MYSELF over the years. Highlight projects you worked on and the timely manner you achieved them. Time is money and thats a bottom line for alot of companies. What that will do is demonstrate your stick to itve ness and organizational skills.

For example from my own resume:

  • from 19xx to 19xx started and finished Iso 9001 documetation project. Converted tribal knowledge to demonstrable and duplicatable processes.
  • Redsigned Widget A which had xx amount of parts and cost a thousand dollars to make. Reduced the cost by two third and the quantity of parts from 100 to four.

so treat your individual positions during that time period as actual jobs Highlight the tasks you were required to do and your accomplishments doing it. Oh and if you got a bonus for job well done mention that.

hope this helps/
