The Old Folks Home

Saw my first evidence of rats this morning in about a year and a half.

I'm going to get the propane weeder out and see if I can't send those rats to Dante.

Did you get them from Matt?

Yes!

Wow, what a treasure you have!

Your experience working with your Campines will help you "find" what Bob bred into those RIRs even if they weren't the best of Matt's flock. Be sure to keep us posted on your progress with them.

Culls or not, those are light years above the vast majority of RIR.

They are truly lovely.

Thank you, everyone! I get a warm feeling in my heart when I look at those birds.... I think about Bob.

CC - That is my farm name. It has many links to my life.
There is the obvious link to my profession.
My last name is Marshall.
One of the first, and best, gifts my DH ever gave me was a set of faux rusted three dimensional tin stars, like you see everywhere now, but that was 20 years ago. I have always had them displayed in my home, since then.
The first standard bred birds I ever owned came from Texas, the lone star state.

It just seems to be fitting!
Congrats on your RIR's that is wonderful that you got some of Bob's stock.

Just messing with u. They all arrived without any cracks. The box looks pristine. Thanks again for letting me order on such short notice. I like your packing method. The eggs are nice size and darker than I was expecting. Thanks Guy. I will give this breed the respect it deserves.
Stick some eggs in the bator for the HAL
