Nice setup. What are you doing with snow in NM?

My sister is in Bernalillo, and my niece in Rio Rancho and both are pretending they had snow. They grew up in the Chicago area and KNOW what real cold and snow are like. But really turned wimpy after moving to NM. When it drops to 50's they need a heat lamp (just kidding).

I lived in Roswell for a few years in the early sixties. Snowed every winter... Not much but it stayed on the ground for a few weeks.

Yep right in the middle of the cold war.... We didnt know about the other stuff till we moved to Vegas.

Dad was right in the middle of it all. putting in missile silos in New mexico. Then on to the atomic test site in Vegas and the atomic test site was about four miles as the crows fly to area 51.

When we moved to San Diego He was on contract to a company called Maxwell Labs. At the time they were doing stuff with electromagnetic pulses and high energy beam weapons. Dad was the go to guy to make the scientists ideas come to life.

They're solar, so they only go on when it's dark. BUT it's really nice that now I don't need a flashlight to go out and do curfew checks or see if anybody laid a sunset egg as they glow just bright enough to illuminate.

LMAO Bruce! Too funny! 7mph hmmmm maybe you'll make it by next winter? I at one point in my life owned a 3/4 ton Chevy with an 8' Fisher plow... That was when I lived in Maine and coincidentally was on a tour of duty requiring over seas deployments... that just HAPPENED to occur over winter the entire time I was there

So for the four year tour timeframe, I got to use the plow ONE winter for about 4 months. and that was a dry winter... <sigh> Anyway, after that tour I transferred south so traded that truck in on a 1/2 ton. much better mileage. Probably nothing compared to your garden tractor though

Edit to add a pic of my pup in the snow, taken an hour or so ago:

Aww, love this pup!
