The Old Folks Home

Peep show that looks really nice! We have a little more snow here and it is hard to entice the girls to come outside. I am thankful I went ahead and got the water heater this year. No more worrying during the day if their water has frozen up. Some days I had to take water out twice a day because it froze during the day. Next week is supposed to bring snow just about every day. I will be worried about DD, SIL and grandbaby until they get here safe and sound. They are driving all the way from NY. I tried to talk them into plane tickets as a gift but you know, they know better and decided they would drive.

How To Help A Drunk Guy Into His Car!

Dad used to tell this story about one of his buddies. There were about four of them who went to the Bar every Friday night. One of them was a pretty bad drinker. So while he was in the bathroom Dad and his friends went out and put his Car up on blocks just high enough so the rear wheels didnt touch the ground.

He must a drove ten minutes before they walked up to the doors.....

True or not I can just imagine.

They're solar, so they only go on when it's dark. BUT it's really nice that now I don't need a flashlight to go out and do curfew checks or see if anybody laid a sunset egg as they glow just bright enough to illuminate.
Nice!

Maybe the horizontal row along the walkway should stay up year around!

(and Mr Beams are highly recommended). Battery operated (for those of us in low light areas) and amazing. I have them on the doors to the house and the coop, plus strategic places along the route to light it up. It's amazing. Plus easy to tell if a predator is outside...they also set the light off.

Dh went back to work tonight, after being off 10 days. YAY! Normally, I don't mind him being home, but he's researching his retirement planning. 1 hour we're fine, then he reads more, and the next hour we're sunk, then he reads more, and for the next hour we're fine again, then he reads more, and for the next hour we are sunk again. 3 days solid of that, and I was ready to unplug his computer. His job pays for a great retirement planning service, so it's free to him. I finally started telling him that I didn't want to hear anymore about it until he contacted them, and they crunched all the numbers. It was as bad as looking up an illness online. You can go from hangnail to death in 3 clicks.
