The Old Folks Home

Hey anyone out there with Muscovys?  I hear they perch.  What would be a good height to set perches for a 'Scovy house.

I have to trim mine.... So they do not fly.

They love their second story deck, but that is as high as they go when they are trimmed. Un-trimmed, the girls loved perching on my four foot high fences.... Which made them literal sitting ducks.

About -5 F out there right now, predicted to go to about -15 F tomorrow.

Glad you found out what it was pretty quickly. I have to heat my garage - the house is built over the garage and my bedroom and bathroom are right on top of the garage door openings. If I don't heat the garage, I get frozen pipes. I would love to just be able to install heat tape over the pipes and forget about heating the whole space, but then the wood floor of my bedroom becomes a balmy whatever it is outside. No, thanks.

We're supposed to be in the freezer next week lows of 1-5 degrees and such. Did El Nino forsake us?
You are by Chicago? That is on the edge of the effect of El Nino so you will, on average have warmer temperatures. You will also get the polar get stream sometimes.

Deb you are doing great and I hope I did not push anything off on you. That was not my intentions. I was only trying to share some info that my Dr. told me about that I think might help me after my surgery and recovery.
I know you have been working hard at it. Keep it up girl.

Ah no sweat thanks for the info. It will be a while before I could justify taking advantage of it. I will need to be walking on my own in order to work out.

My favorite exercise is walking any way.
