The Old Folks Home

If I lived near DD I could get all the raw milk I wanted. She married a dairy farmer. She is lactose intolerant but she can drink raw milk. She finally got her ultrasound today. They think it is going to be a boy. Still waiting to hear when her due date is. Should be sometime around the end of June beginning of July.

Awwwwww

Congrats!!

Bruce, octane is the same unit. We use 95, 98, and Shell sells V-power which is 99. I remember buying 92 as a kid for the lawnmower, but the low count stuff was phased out years ago in lieu of more cleanly burning stuff.

Oh. And on raw milk, some lactose intolerant people do unhomogenized milk just fine. Although a lot of people who think they are lactose intolerant are actually just sensitive to something else in the milk. Ask one who tolerates raw milk if they've actually been tested, I'm guessing the answer is no.

Raw milk is not illegal in this state. I can buy it at a couple small stores - the butcher shop and some mom and pops. The big chains don't sell it. I don't drink it but I do make cheese out of it. I can get glass bottled milk from the "local" dairy (about an hour south of here) which is absolutely beyond delicious. The cost of the bottles is pretty significant, though. A few times a year we head down to the dairy to turn our bottles in and usually get a large turn in store credit value. They also sell cheese and meats and ice cream so spending the money again isn't hard.

What a wonderful thing to do!

I hope the introduction goes well! Can your neighbor have visits with Molly? Will she recognize her? If so, it should give her great comfort to know you have her.

It looks like the neighbor has had a small stroke or two and is bedridden. She's 92+, so the prognosis is not good.

Molly the dog is now in our pack. There was one small in-your-face dust-up upon meeting (two female dogs). Tibbs the greyhound is in LOVE with his new short friend and escorting her everywhere.

Meet Molly.... Sorry about the blurriness, but she sees a camera and runs. Lots of newness, but she's adjusting well.

"Where the heck am I now?"
