and you are excited about the prospect. The cold must really be affecting you. Maybe the vet can remove them, so the chicks can go on to be normal looking birds.

I never could understand why the SOP would force silkies to have walnut combs. Who's idea was that???

Oh, they'll do more than "POP" out! They'll explode out of their shells with enthusiasm!

The foil may help to contain them somewhat and have the side benefit of miniature fireworks throughout the hatch!

You'll want to sit very close with your face looking in through the viewing window!

Guineas apparently can hit the broad side of a barn (or house).


At 1640 today, after flying approximately 50 feet at approximately 10 mph, the jumbo french guinea, in full Kamikaze mode, slammed into the size of a local farmhouse, scaring the occupants. Upon exiting the front door, the co-ed occupants discovered a very discombobulated guinea under the front porch and clearly visible claw marks going down the side of the house. Using a Swiffer broom handle to extract the guinea caused a syndrome known as Massive Guinea Panic resulting in a riot in the guineas awaiting their turn for Kamikaze training.

Two guineas flew at the heads of the occupants, one ended up at full rest, pleased with itself high in a pine tree.

All was saved when the male occupant grabbed a stale container of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
