Face it folks, the entire political system is a downward spiraling miasma of self centered, self perpetuating cronyism, bearing no resemblance to what was designed and installed by our forefathers. It is a blight on this country and what it used to stand for. There are no choices as the entire system is now homogenized to offer selection of identical items, packaged only in slightly different shades of the same color. What choice is left is to choose the shade that nauseates the least.

All this compounded by the fact that the election mechanics/machines/software, and therefore the elections themselves, are "owned/directed" by the highest bidder, which is typically the same "owner/controller" of the already existing political system described above. Showmanship, smoke and mirrors, acting & stage shows often deserving of academy awards.

Stepping down off soapbox, returning to dark corner to sulk.

We are having a glorious day and I have not been able to get enough of warmth and fresh air. I had several projects to do today, but have been inside most of the day with a headache (sinus, typical for this time of year for me) and the rest of the crew have found other things to do besides hang out with Mom. I had a nice long Diva-esque nap, though, so not totally a wasted day!

Too cold to be outside here, too. Got a fire going in the living room, heating that up nicely. BF is making dinner and we're having friends over and I spent a few hours today finishing up a Frozen quilt for a friends little girl.

the Thermometer outside says 80 but the wind coming in the door says low seventies. clouding up we may get rain.

Past few days have been mostly sleep.... I fight to get awake in the morning. Been driving the truck in the morning to do coffee and breakfast run for the familuy.... I cant drive once I take my High Blood pressure meds... Well I can but I dont like to .

I am tired of it.

If Major Flaw has the poor judgement to disguise himself as a mouse, I'll bet the chief inspector will be all over him.

*sigh* It's a long way down to the floor, isn't it? And getting harder and harder to climb up from it . . . . Looks like a good solution to that problem, and storage space to boot. Good job!

I kinda like the signs I've seen pictures of, telling you to vote for Darth Vader.

I don't think Mr. Vader got enough signatures to make the ballot. However, one can always do a "write-in".

I am ineligible to vote, anyway.

Care to say why?

Low 70s is much better than 80 (at least to the residents of our house)

Ick. How is the reduction of your Bell's Palsy symptoms going Deb.
