My pullets just started laying last week while I was in Fl. babysitting. One of my EE's is laying a pretty blue egg! I am so eggcited it is so pretty.

If you have the way & means, maybe you should complete the change over and just go with fermented feed (FF). Ferment your regular feed alongside the spent grains then shovel it to em'

Ok I've started FF with grains and pellets/starter mixed together. In process today of making new box feeders hung on the door to pens. The feed is really fermenting well. Not wet at all just damp. This may work into schedule as I don't have to drain it at all.

Made a tool out of a three foot 1/4 rod here to put in drill and mixes it well.

Have any of you grown Yugoslavian squash and cooked it? I have no idea what to do with this. I got some of these on a trade and I planted it this year.

I am not sure it is a Yugoslavian or what.

Yes they are! e I was doing the happy dance. lol

Maybe keep the shell on that one. The blue egg layers tend to fade a bit over the laying season. I find that so interesting for some reason.
