What do you do with all of those eggs??
I Sell a bunch of them and have started dehydrating them too. I have three dozen in the incubator now--Which is a days worth of eggs on average.

Yummm, what kind of Jam? My sis brought over some of her Raspberry jam the other day. Delish!

My favorite jam in the whole world (not exaggerating) -- Blueberry Spice!

My second favorite is Pepper jelly. I love it with cream cheese on a Ritz Cracker. I often wonder what those two would taste like combined...... I bet it would be heavenly!

Goodness mercy me, look what I found! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/3659243420244795/

Wisher , of course she was a ratty looking hen - trying to sit on 30 eggs is probably wearing her to a frazzle. At least give her an A for effort. What a photo that would make.

I think the broody hen contest is still running.

Also any students can get free Amazon Prime. I'm going to get it with the fire stick so we can watch movies before bed and any football games while camping. lol We have the tailgate package so I told Dh we need to get another tv for the games. So we can fish and watch the games at the same time. He loves the idea.
I believe the free Prime is only a 6 month trial... I have a .edu e-mail though, so I may check it out.

It's amazing how white chickens can get right in the dirt totally covered bathing and come out of it still clean white. Right now though mine are a muddy mess, been thunderstorming off and on for days.

Not MY white chickens! Those 2 White Rocks haven't been white since last year. They dust bath in the barn alley, they dust bath under the lilacs, they dust bath in the dirt on the floor of the little barn. And they like to have a nice dust bath after being out in the rain.

I like the pepper jelly mixed with cream cheese also it's wonderful!

Scg how do you dry your onion's?
I have to harvest mine and not sure how to dry them.

It's a very sophisticated set up. I have a screen from an old screen door. I put it up on 2 chairs (you could use sawhorses) and point a fan at it. I put the stuff that needs drying on top. If it's real thick I'll move the stuff around every day or so but if you just have a thin layer you won't need to move it. Depending on how hot/humid it is it can take 2-3 weeks. The first two days are the most aromatic. My house smelled awful like garlic the first few days and today it smells like onion.

Edited to add leave the onions intact. After they cure cut the stem about 1 inch up from the bulb and cut the roots off.
