Went to the walk-in-clinic earlier. Got a chest X-ray, a breathing treatment, 3 prescriptions, and a diagnosis of pneumonia. When I get sick, I don't mess around.

cool I have had horses now almost fifty years... ONe at a time. Right now I have my last... shes a Percheron.



I am sixty one she is twenty two... Now. In the picture she was about eight.

Good grief! I'll say you don't! Kinda early in the season for pneumonia. Guess you're just getting a head start on the rest of us. Make sure you drink a lot of fluids so the congestion can thin out and most of all take it easy. Remember. Being sick is your body's way of telling you to lay down and take it easy so it can heal.

As for Lil'Girl, guess I'm just used to dealing with my regular broody. Aggie started out kinda awkward herself. She likes to switch nests in midstream. I have to keep an eye on her and plop her down on her own eggs from time to time. I learned better with this hen. I made sure she is in a pen by herself.

Have you had a pneumonia shot Gettaclue? When you recover maybe you can ask you doctor about Prevnar 13, it's a pneumonia shot that covers 13 different strains. I never knew there were more kinds to have. I got that shot last year.

When my son was infant, I got pneumonia and so did my mom. She lost 18 lbs. and had to be hospitalized and almost died, I lost 10 lbs. but was able to take care of him. He was running a fever for a bit but, luckily didn't get pneumonia.

For oldies like me Medicare B covered the shot.

Sorry to hear about your pneumonia, getaclue. Good advice to take it easy and delegate as much as you can. Antibiotics are your friend.

When I had it I sounded like a fish tank at night...once I became aware I could hear the bubbling. Ewwww.
