The Old Folks Home

I hope you and Dsgard have excellent insurance to take on hikes through there. I would turn back at the first "Go Back," sign.

Youngest kid just smacked his scalp open.

His hair is so short right now that it didn't help to stop or clot the blood. So one bloody little boy.

-sigh-

Current discussion.... Will spouse let me super glue it closed... Or do
I need to take kid to get stitches.

I keep a tube of EMT gel on hand. (Big improvement over the suture tape I used to use, less scarring or my dad's favorite use for duct tape) Stuff is meant for critters but gets used on both man and beast (and woman). Our nearest ER is so far away we would probably be healing by the time we got there anyway. Oh, and even when I totally messed up my ankle/leg, I dragged my backside down the steps and into the car (literally) and DH drove me to the hospital. Nobody around here waits for the volunteer emergency squad (or worse, the hospital ambulance) to get to them. There's a reason they're referred to as the body bag truck. That's usually all what's needed by the time they get to you. One downside of all our "privacy".

Eta; forgot to mention the full quart container of blood stop
