Rainy Day Women #12 & 35
Bob Dylan

Well, they'll stone ya when you're trying to be so good
They'll stone ya just a-like they said they would
They'll stone ya when you're tryin' to go home
Then they'll stone ya when you're there all alone
But I would not feel so all alone
Everybody must get stoned.

Well, they'll stone ya when you're walkin' 'long the street
They'll stone ya when you're tryin' to keep your seat
They'll stone ya when you're walkin' on the floor
They'll stone ya when you're walkin' to the door
But I would not feel so all alone
Everybody must get stoned.

They'll stone ya when you're at the breakfast table
They'll stone ya when you are young and able
They'll stone ya when you're tryin' to make a buck
They'll stone ya and then they'll say "good luck"
Tell ya what, I would not feel so all alone
Everybody must get stoned.

Well, They'll stone you and say that it's the end
Then they'll stone you and then they'll come back again
They'll stone you when you're riding in your car
They'll stone you when you're playing your guitar
Yes, but I would not feel so all alone
Everybody must get stoned.

Well, they'll stone you when you walk all alone
They'll stone you when you are walking home
They'll stone you and then say you are brave
They'll stone you when you are set down in your grave
But I would not feel so all alone
Everybody must get stoned.
Blowin' in the Wind
Bob Dylan

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, and how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Yes, and how many years can a mountain exist
Before it's washed to the sea?
Yes, and how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, and how many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Yes, and how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, and how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Congrats on the rat solution!

What about the skunk(s)?

micro, I used to be surprised at what passed for both literature, and art. Now, I'm more amazed at how the so-called experts in literature, and art became experts, who had the authority to proclaim them as experts, and what the so-called experts proclaim as literature, and art. What amazes me even more than that, is that anyone would believe them.

Cloud so swift the rain fallin' in
Gonna see a movie called Gunga Din
Pack up your money, pull up your tent in the wind
You ain't a goin' no where
Hoo wee, ride me high
Tomorrow's the day my brides a'gonna come
Hoo wee, are we gonna fly
Down into the easy chair
Genghis Khan and his brother Don
Couldn't keep on keepin' on
We'll climb that bridge after it's gone
After we're way past it
Hoo wee, ride me high
Tomorrow's the day my bride's a'gonna come
Hoo wee, are we gonna fly
Down into the easy chair, yeah
Buy me some rings and a gun that sings
A flute that toots and a bee that stings
A sky that cries and a bird that flies
A fish that walks and a dog that talks
Hoo wee, ride me high
Tomorrow's the day my bride's a'gonna come
Hoo wee, are we gonna fly
Down into the easy chair
Hoo wee, ride me high

It was a great song. Sorry I've "been away" for so long. I'm now back to being a home owner, though not fully settled in yet. Still many boxes to unpack and collectables to put on display. Since I'm a moderator over on BYH, I really needed to get back on there first, and of course as Bruce stated, I have a journal over there so that had to take precedence (I do all or most of my crying and screaming/ranting over there). No attempt here to get new members over there, but a brief "history of me" is there for those who may wish to be distracted: http://www.backyardherds.com/threads/latestarters-journey-to-farming.33505/ Was good to see Bruce start one over there as well.

Sorry for those who lost birds. Glad no rabies shots were required. Glad nobody here was seriously effected by Mathew. Sorry that Mathew didn't provide some much needed moisture up there in northern New England. Sorry it provided too much moisture to those along the SE coast and inland areas of the Carolinas. Appreciated the pictures of scenery, Halloween decore, baked items including deserts and bread. I tried not to get too upset at the ice cream debacle... Pretty sure I've mentioned before I'm NOT a mint fan at all. Enjoyed all the new stuff I learned while reading over 50 pages to get caught back up. Grats to Alaskan for his son's accomplishments. Thanks Bruce (again) for letting folks know that I hadn't kicked the bucket or anything like that.

I'm limited to satellite internet so limited speed and data caps. Pretty much eliminated my gaming capability and am not sure how much it will restrict my forum participation. I'm pretty sure that any loss of internet time due to loss of bandwidth and data caps will be more than equaled by the loss of available time due to added work requirement of trying to start a homestead/farm... No SO/DW or growing children to help... Which I'm actually quite alright with for the most part. And rather limited financial excess to throw at it since I'm retired means I'm going to have to do much myself. Anyway

Welcome to the newcomers to Wisher's thread. It's a great place to hang out and great folks to chew the fat with.
