The Old Folks Home

SCG, I absolutely love the soft book pages and I am seriously impressed! I hate hand sewing, always have, and will do anything to avoid it. Good job, gal! :clap

I'm taking a couple of chickens to the fair this year . . . .

I had thought to put the hen on a round pillow, but though I bought a round pillow insert, I couldn't find it for the life of me. So the hen is a potholder/trivet . . . maybe I'll make a proper set of them later.:idunno

I sometimes envy those of you with imagination and the talent to create it once imagined. SCG, beautiful work and I'm sure the kids will love those books. You should protect it via copyright or whatever, I'm sure you could sell those for quite a bit. They could be your retirement. Glad the vet finally made an appearance and that all is well with poultry and goats.

Those chicken pillows/pot holders are beautiful as well Bunny.

SCG you have found your true calling in life. Those quiet books should be copyrighted so they can't steal your designs. I love them. Especially the camp fire, the s'mores etc. SO much nicer than the paper ones in regular kid books. I truly mean it SCG.

I think your true hit would be if you recreate the turkey/ guinea sparring match.

* edited to correct improper spelling, I originally wrote boos instead of books. Duh!

You guys are too kind. I'm sewing these from someone else's mind. The only one I "came up with" was the hen and chick. The rest are from here:

I love these! They are so very well done and very lifelike. I hope you win! Keep us posted. And too funny about losing the insert. I do that all the time. I lost my needle last week, and couldn't find my pack of replacements. Finally found the missing needle (apparently my scissors are magnetic, who knew?) and then promptly found the pack of needles after I had purchased a replacement pack.

Bunnylady your potholders are very nice. That's a lot of needle work also.

I am still learning to use my embroidery machine. I made the mistake of washing my towels before trying to embroider on them. Now they are out of shape and it's hard for me to get the design straight. Ugh I have already messed up a few.
