was he "on the job" when the accident happened?Cell phone rang at 5:30 tonight. Only a few people have my number so I pulled over figuring it was DH. Yup, calling to say he was ok and had been in a 5 car pile up.Was getting a ride back to work to stay the night. Me, I'm thinking posible concussion. I convinced him NOT to got to sleep until we talked again.WHy are men so stubborn? 5 hours later I called him again, having figured out he needed to call his co- worker and have that person also stay over at work and keep an eye on the stubborn *$&*#(@(
. He actually was on the way back to work, driven by a co-worker and was just leaving the hospital. WHew, I was releived. THe docs checked him over and no concusion, which was my biggest fear. A sore neck and a rug burn on the top of his head!!
. He is so tall he removes his hat while driving. Of course his vehicle is totalled-- it took the brunt of the 5th car hitting his (nearly) stopped vehicle at nearly full speed, and the domino effect damged 3 more vehicles in front of him.
THat must have been quite a hit. ANd he talks to me all normal voice like it a walk in the park. I was born in the dark but it wasn't last night!! Men!! ( I think his co-worker talked some sense into him!! THank you A!!!

YEs-- in a company truck. THough I do wonder with the number of phone calls he gets around the clock is he ever not " on the job"?was he "on the job" when the accident happened?
Sorry. Crap happens and boy don't we feel aweful. ( Glad the weather is easing. Weather was 99 today and I hardly noticed myself. BIrds held wings out much of the day-- I was wondering why-- now I know. 90+ weather is becoming the norm here.)Yesterday, I stepped on one of Sparkle's chicks and it died within a minute. Of course I feel like a horrible caretaker. At least it was a cockerel. Sparkle doesn't seem bothered by having only 3 chicks to raise, now.
It was a much nicer day today!, didn't even need to use the misting system!
I think he must!! He logs a lot of hours in that work truck , basically lives out of it, driving around all day when he's not sitting in a meeting. So glad he is ok. He does have a guardian angel watching over him!![]()
At least he is not hurt! He will get another truck!Sorry. Crap happens and boy don't we feel aweful. ( Glad the weather is easing. Weather was 99 today and I hardly noticed myself. BIrds held wings out much of the day-- I was wondering why-- now I know. 90+ weather is becoming the norm here.)

Thank you so much. I figure it this way: only the good Lord above knows when we are coming home.I will keep your mom in my thoughts and prayers. I will check out her story too. God can work miracles. I will pray for a miracle. Cancer is an awful thief. I know you must all be going through a very hard time. Blessings and love, to you and your family!![]()
And my prayers for your mom.![]()
As you know, I have a personal interest in the big C-- and I"m determined to tackle cancers at the nutritional level. I eat some 1/4 cup raw ground flax seed a day; pick kale from the garden. Try new recipes to keep eating lots of veg to fight cancer. I eat apple seeds too. FOrgot to buy the alfalfa sprouts today. WIll get mung bean sprouts and do a stir fry this week. I not as scared by the cancer as I am the chemo and radiation.
I would have pooped myself!!! i am so glad he is ok!Cell phone rang at 5:30 tonight. Only a few people have my number so I pulled over figuring it was DH. Sometimes it can seem as if our husbands never stop working LOL! My husband has that kind of job LOL.YEs-- in a company truck. THough I do wonder with the number of phone calls he gets around the clock is he ever not " on the job"?
He works for the state-- there won't be another truck any time soon. Should see how poorly these vehicles are kept up.( Not a factor in this accident.) I remember years ago, he drove a truck in which the drive door didn't shut =He had to hold it shut. The state has no money to repair anything it seems these days. So I expect it will be I drop him off Sundays and pick up Sat am. Naaaa. He can just stay at work!![]()
Oh wait I have a chicken sale to go to Sunday-- maybe he can get a truck for the weekend to watch the kids.
We need to get our economy rolling again!!!!! I'm ready to dump all the folks in Washington in the river and elect new members. Oh wait, we already tried that.
