Good luck with your hatches!

Not me! I don't want any chicks to take care of. I told dh I am done with all these rabbits he keeps ignoring. I told him it's all his to feed and water.
Then he said well I guess I better put them in the freezer this weekend. hahhaha

One of the bucks (mind you I have 5 that are going on 6 months old in the same pen) jumped up on a tub and shot his peeeeeeee at me! I had the hose in my hand filling their water bucket.
I turned that hose on him so fast yelling some not very nice things at him! And I told him that's it he's done!
I told dh I would feed the rest but the bachelor pen was all HIS!

Darn. I thought I was done incubating till at least Christmas.
I may be tempted to violate my own rule against ever incubating pullet eggs.
The 3 oldest new pullets have been laying a little over a week and started at 27 weeks. Their eggs have been pretty darn big for pullet eggs.
They've all been between 60 and 70 grams. I guess that's the advantage of delaying onset of lay.
Usually they start out around 50 grams and sometimes less.

Wow, those are big pullet eggs. Most of my girls don't hit that size for many many months.

I often have to warn people about young bucks. Some aren't bad about it, with others, it's like a hobby. I've had some that I swear sit there and wait until I'm in range.

There was one Jersey Wooly buck that I had to be careful to make sure that anything that got put on the grooming table before him was also male, because if he smelled doe smell, I could be sure he'd write "Ziggy was here" right across my front. His son Wizard sprayed the judge at his very first show. Fortunately, the judge was a good sport about it. He looked in the rabbit's ear to read off the tattoo for placement in the class, and when he saw it read "WIZ," he laughed and said, "well, there's the warning, right there; I should have looked there first!"
