Took some photos today.


I did NOT plow...new renter (shacking it up in the garage) plowed for me.

Rocking.

I didn't figure out the issue with the plow.... I just did NOT feel like messing with flushing out the hydraulic system. So nice to be able to put it off another day.

They are not floating are they Lol! Getting a BLAST of snow tomorrow, bet SCG will get the brunt of it though Lol! Calling for a couple feet on top of what we have... I'm prepared though.

My bird feeder pole system is in serious danger of being buried. A few years ago the pole system I had got buried with all the snow, so last year I bought a new 6 foot pole system thinking that would do the trick. Snow's probably about 3 feet up it at the moment.

Well, for all of you that are suffering with yet another snowstorm, I have good news: the puddles here have yellow "bathtub rings" (pollen - ugh) and the minis are starting to shed (horsehair everywhere - bleh) so it's official, Spring is coming!

Here in California, emergency workers get to retire after 20 years with a full pension. Is yours like that? What percentage of salary do you get?

Yes, we have 20 year retirement, but it's only 60% of full benefits.  We get full benefits at 25 years and an extra 6% on our monthly check for each year worked after that.  I will have 29 years behind me in July, I hope I make it that long......

Oh geez, it's almost deep enough for the birds to just stand on the snow again, isn't it?

These really shouldn't count; they bloom regardless, and often look ghastly with frozen flowers all over them:

I might need some of those! I have to say it is much easier now to fill the feeders than in summer when I have to get a step ladder
