The Old Folks Home

It's been raining off and on for over a week here. Last night was really heavy. Some standing water where it usually stands after storm. But the grass itself looks okay till you walk on it and it like squeezing water out of sponges. I hate when shoes get wet like that. Of course more rain coming.
where do you actually roost there diva sounds like around here somewhere
We actually had a tornado up north here in Monroe happens only about once ever 10 years

It's the same way here. I have 3 inches of water in my run and the silly chickens are out running around in it. 4 days of solid rain after a dry winter. About the second day the ground had sucked up all it could and the rest is mud. I went out today at 5 and chased the chickens in during a steady rain. I swear I could have wrung a gallon of water out of the roosters and the hens were just pathetic looking. I think they were afraid they were going to miss out on the night crawlers and red wigglers if they didn't stay out in the run.

Nope, Midwest I think if I tried to dig a hole to plant something, water will shoot up like a fountain. This year we had bitter temps but no major snow. Soooo then it rains hard instead and you get "stay away from windows," warnings and "take shelter on the lowest level in the center of the building." Usually tornado warnings or watches thrown in for bad measure.

Ah, then you have been enjoying the same delightful weather that we have been having in MO, drumstickdiva. Ain't it fun? And just think, It's only the end of March!
